The Super Eagles of Nigeria, today made history as they destroyed Sao Tome & Principe 10-0 in the African Cup of Nations Qualification (AFCONQ), making it officially the side’s biggest win ever in football.

The Super Eagles who are currently joint top with Guinea Bissau, with six points apiece, has now scored 12 goals in two matches while Sao Tome & Principe are sitting at the bottom of the table, having conceded 15 goals in two games.

Victor Osimhen opened the scoring chart for his side just 9 minutes into the match and went on to score three more goals in the second half.

Although the 10-0 win against Sao Tome & Principe is officially the biggest win of the Super Eagles, it is the second time the country would score 10 goals in a match after thrashing Dahomey (now Benin Republic) 10-1 on 28 November 1959.
