Barcelona has asked Brazilian defender, Dani Alves to leave the club this summer as they will not offer him another contract when his current contract expires.
Alves’ one-year contract is set to expire in June 2022 and the club’s management has duly communicated with the defender that his contract will not be renewed.
Alves, 39, rejoined Barcelona on a contract until the end of the season in November 2021 but he was not eligible to play until January of 2022.
Although, Alves was determined to stay at the club in order to prepare for the World Cup and even settled for a short-term contract, however, the Barcelona management insisted he left the club
Barcelona has been struggling with its finances, no thanks to debts.
Dani Alves will be leaving the club in a couple of days.
