For Eid-el-Kabir, the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), traveled on Friday evening to his hometown in Daura, Katsina State.

The President had previously arrived at Katsina’s Umaru Musa Yar’Adua International Airport, from where he was helicoptered to the old town.

The Emir, Alhaji Faruq Umar, and other prominent dignitaries in the town greeted him warmly as he arrived in Daura at around six in the evening.

The President will reportedly spend the entire Sallah period in Daura, where he will likely join his relatives in celebrating the holiday.

He is also anticipated to take care of personal concerns during the Sallah break.
