Buhari visits Kuje prison after suspected terror attack

President Muhammadu Buhari has visited Kuje prison in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) following an attack by suspected Boko Haram terrorists that resulted in the release of inmates from the facility.

Gistah recalls that the ministry of interior previously stated that approximately 600 inmates escaped from the correctional facility following the attack carried out by suspected Boko Haram members.

Usman Baba, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), and Haliru Nababa, the Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, accompanied Buhari to the prison (NCoS).
