Premier League side, Chelsea has entered a bidding war with Manchester United for Barcelona’s Frankie de Jong.
The Blues are now competing with the Red Devils for the Netherlands international who has been tipped to make a permanent move to United this summer.
The midfielder is United manager Erik ten Hag’s top target this summer but talks with Barcelona have taken longer than expected.
Chelsea has now entered the race and is willing to include Marcos Alonso and Cesar Azpilicueta in any potential deal that could see them land the midfielder.
Similarly, Blues owner Todd Boehly has spoken with representatives of Bayern Munich over a possible move for Robert Lewandowski.
The striker is desperate to leave the German club this summer, but the club is unwilling to let him go.
Boehly has made it clear to the prolific Pole that if his dream move to the Nou Camp falls through, he would like to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
He is also interested in bringing Cristiano Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge this summer, but Manchester United are understandably wary of selling their iconic star to a Premier League rival.
Ronaldo and Lewandoski both reportedly want away from Manchester United and Bayern Munich respectively.
