The forward for Real Madrid, Rodrygo Goes, has admitted that Cristiano Ronaldo of Manchester United was the reason he fell in love with Los Blancos.
In 2019, Rodrygo transferred from the Brazilian team Santos to Real Madrid.
The young Brazilian has since become an important first-team player for Carlo Ancelotti’s squad owing to his game-changing ability.
The 21-year-old played 49 times for Real Madrid last season in all competitions, contributing 10 assists and nine goals.
Before his contract was extended through 2028, Rodrygo talked up to ABC about his passion for former Real Madrid player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
He said, “Cristiano Ronaldo made me fall in love with Real Madrid.
“I already liked it, but it was with him that I became most interested in Real Madrid.”
Ronaldo has 450 goals in 438 appearances, making him Real Madrid’s all-time leading scorer.
