Akin Alabi has stated that customers should not rate undeserving drivers higher out of pity, and he has explained why.
Passengers, he claims, unwittingly lower the bar for the entire service by rating bad drivers highly on ride-hailing apps out of pity.
He wrote: “Uber, bolt etc have the ratings option not to help people but to get feedback from users so they can offer the best services. Pitying drivers with bad service/cars with top ratings will only lower the bar for the entire service. If someone deserves 1 star, give him/her 1 star.”
