German and Real Madrid midfielder, Toni Kroos, yesterday, took to his Twitter account to celebrate Marcelo who recently left the Spanish giants on a free transfer after 15 years.
Marcelo, yesterday, who was honoured by the club at a farewell event at the Bernabeu, was emotional that he broke down during his speech.
Although some of the senior team members were not around as a result of ongoing national tournaments, Kroos was filled with nothing short of words for the Brazillian left-back.
Marcelo was signed as a replacement for Brazil legend, Roberto Carlos; one of the world’s greatest left-backs who played with Real Madrid but he went on to spend 15 illustrious years at the club, winning 25 trophies in total.
Kroos believes he can confidently say played with the best left-back of all time.
