Labour Party has named Doyin Okupe as the placeholder vice-presidential candidate for Peter Obi in order to beat the Friday deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Labour Party have been unable to secure a Northern VP for Peter Obi ahead of the 2023 Presidential elections but quickly moved to name Okupe as a placeholder candidate.
Okupe, former Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former president, Goodluck Jonathan, who was live on Channels TV, also made it known that he was the placeholder vice-presidential candidate of the party, pending when a Northern VP is chosen.
