Hasiya Aminu, a different Nigerian pilgrim, passed away on July 8 in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
According to her tent neighbors, Aminu from Kaduna State’s Zaria Local Government Area passed away while resting not long after arriving from Mount Arafat.
Hasiya’s passing was verified by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) in a statement on Friday.
No cause of death has been determined, according to Dr. Usman Galadima, Chief of Operations and Head of the Nigerian Medical Mission, who spoke to the News Agency (NAN).
Aminu’s family had already been told of her passing, according to Galadima, and she will be buried in accordance with Islamic customs.
The Ag. Director of Operations, Alh Abubakar Alhassan, also confirmed her death and noted she had no prior ailments.
Aminu is the second pilgrim to pass away in the Hajj operations of 2022.
Following a brief illness, Hajiya Aisha Ahmed of Keffi, Nasarawa state, also passed away last week and was buried in Makkah.
