Muhammad Barkindo, the late Secretary-General of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries, was buried in his hometown of Yola, Adamawa State.
Barkindo died late Tuesday, just hours after meeting President Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), who described him as a worthy ambassador for the country.
His last prayers were held at the Yola Central Mosque.
