Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has unveiled Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed as his running mate for the 2023 election.
Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed was named the LP’s vice-presidential candidate on Friday in Abuja.
The 46-year-old is the founder of Abuja’s Baze University and Kano State’s Baba-Ahmed University.
Speaking at the event, Obi stated that Baba-Ahmed was eminently qualified to bring his private sector and academic achievements to bear in the effort to rescue Nigeria from ethnic politics.
Obi also stated that the party’s manifesto will be based on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals in the coming days (SDGs)
Recall that Doyin Okupe, Director General of the Peter Obi Campaign Organization, had submitted a letter of resignation to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
To meet the electoral umpire’s deadline, the Labour Party nominated Doyin Okupe as their Vice-Presidential candidate on a temporary basis (Place holder).
