The suspects were apprehended in response to a report filed at Ogijo divisional headquarters by Sodiq Abolore, who stated that while sleeping in his house around 3 a.m., he heard an unusual noise in his compound, prompting him to peep through the window, only to discover that the iron gate he used to block the entrance where he kept his Salah ram had been pulled down.
Abolore stated that this prompted him to come out and discover that his Sallah ram, which he purchased for N120,000, was no longer present.
He went on to say that when he looked around, he saw three men forcing his ram into a waiting Mazda car booth, which prompted him to call the police.
The three men were pursued, and two were apprehended while the third escaped.
The ram was recovered, and the two suspects were taken into custody, according to the state police command’s spokesperson, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi.
