President Buhari swore in the recently confirmed Ministerial appointees and assigned them their various portfolios today, July 6.
Recall that some members of the Federal Executive Council resigned their positions in order to run for President in their respective parties’ primaries.
Among them were Rotimi Amaechi, former Minister of Transport, and Emeka Nwajiuba, former Minister of State for Education, Godswill Akpabio, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, and Ogbonnaya Onu, former Minister of Science and Technology.
Mu’azu Jaji Sambo took over from Amaechi at the swearing-in ceremony, and Goodluck Nanah Opiah is now Minister of State for Education.
Adeleke Mamora, former Minister of State for Health, is now Minister of State for Science and Technology, with Ummana Okon Umanna taking over Akpabio’s office.
