Linda Ifeoma Ikeji, popularly known or referred to as Linda Ikeji is a famous Nigerian blogger, former model and entrepreneur who is known for her controversial online blog. Linda was born in Nkwerre, in Imo State, on the 19th of September 1980. She had her primary school education in her hometown before proceeding to the University of Lagos at age 17 where she was offered English language instead of her preferred mass communication course.

Linda had always taken a liking to mass communication and wanted to study the course as she was drawn to news. It was not so long she discovered that she actually preferred writing to talking and veered in the direction of writing.

A disappointed Linda got admission to study English instead of mass communication. Undeterred, she accepted the course and soon realized that survival in the academic world was crucial. Instead of wallowing in self-pity, she started several menial jobs, such as ushering at engagements. Plus, working as a waitress, a model, and a writer at the same time. Thus, she survived and graduated in 2014.

Unlike many bloggers, today, writing and creating blog posts wasn’t a means to earn money. For her, it was her passion and hobby, something she found out at the tender age of 10 years. Then, she’d write captivating fictional stories.

Coming out of the university in 2014 and with forehand knowledge in modeling during school. Linda started with a few modeling agencies where she worked behind the scenes: finding models and recruiting them.

Then she came across Bella Naija, a blog website in 2006 that had posted a story about her. She got inspired to start her blog site, and she became a full-time blogger in 2007.

  3. On the 8th of October 2014, Google shut down Linda’s blog over unrevealed reasons. She got her site back at midnight on the 10th of October 2014.
  4. Linda Ikeji revealing that she was pregnant was quite controversial as many young women who looked up to her were disappointed at the fact that she preached celibacy when in fact she could not keep her words.

Though not married, Linda Ikeji is a proud mother of one to formerly named Jayce Jereme, now Jayce Ikeji. Her pregnancy shattered many who saw her as their role model and thought she was true to her celibacy claims. She later explained that Sholaye Jeremi, her baby’s father, promised marriage. However, he didn’t follow through. Also, Linda claimed they were not compatible together.
