Nine killed in Kaduna auto crash, FRSC cautions motorists

According to the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, an auto accident involving four vehicles on the Kaduna-Zaria Road claimed nine lives and injured 12 others.

Hafiz Rigim, the Corps’ Kaduna Sector Commander, said the accident happened around 5 a.m. on Thursday on the Rigachikun Bridge, not far from the National Open University.

According to Rigim, the accident involved two DAF trailers, a Toyota bus, and a Toyota Camry.

The injured victims and bodies were taken to Kaduna’s St. Gerard Hospital and Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, according to the sector commander.

While reminding motorists and other road users to always follow traffic rules, Rigim stated that clearing the obstructions caused by the accident was still ongoing.

He reminded motorists and other road users passing through Kawo, Ragachickun, Mararaban Jos, Birnin Yero, and Jaji of ongoing road construction and diversions.
