The People Democratic Party’s presidential flag bear and former vice president of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for winning the APC presidential primary election.
Tinubu clinched the APC presidential ticket, defeating Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, former Rivers State Governor and Minister of Transportation, Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi; Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello; Senate President, Ahmed Lawan; former Buhari running mate and clergyman, Pastor Tunde Bakare amongst a host of others.
Atiku who took to Twitter to congratulate Tinubu tweeted:
Congratulations, @officialABAT, on your emergence as your party’s presidential candidate. It has been a hard-fought contest, but that you prevailed confirms your tenacity. -AA
Atiku and Tinubu will square off in the 2023 general elections alongside Peter Obi of Labour Party.
