Owo Town, Ondo State has been thrown into mourning following a gruesome attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on a Catholic Church in the early hours of today.
About fifty churchgoers are suspected to have been killed while an uncertain number have been left battling for their lives at the Federal Medical Centre in Owo.
Among the victims who were killed in the church is a newly wedded couple who got married yesterday and attended service for thanksgiving.
As of the time of this report, the police and the military are yet to issue a statement on the unfortunate attack.
